I can’t believe the weather we are having right now in the Midwest. It’s perfect.

A few outfits from this week.

We save the best tees for the lake. We spent Saturday at Lake Carlyle.

Happy 4th of July! We started our day with a family BBQ. It was a perfect day with mild temperatures which is unusual for July in the Midwest. We finished up the night by attending Fair St. Louis. The fair was held at Forest Park instead of the usual downtown. It was an amazing venue location with spectacular views.

I attending a local punk rock tribute show tonight. It brought back many memories of my college years. My outfit is channeling that youthful rock sprite

Happy Friday! Tonight was date night. We stopped by the Missouri Botanical Gardens for a preview of the Dessert Show, picked up some gyros from Gyros Company, and then watched some of the new season of Orange is the New Black. I think it was a pretty good night.

I am not a make-up pro. I struggle on a daily basis with my make-up techniques. I struggle trying to find the right foundation and coverage. As I get older I am noticing I need more coverage then I did in my 20’s. I have dry skin and was told by experts that I should be using liquid foundation verse my normal powder foundation. There is one problem; I don’t know how to apply liquid foundation. Every time I try it looks awful. I heard about foundation blender sponges and have been eyeing an expensive one but today I found this gem at Ulta. It’s Real Techniques’ Miracle Complexion Sponge. All the reviews for this tool give it two thumbs up and put it at the top of the list with other more expense brands. Bonus, it can be found for under $6.
